El Paso employee earns Presidential Volunteer Service Award

bridget-vejjilIMG_0581Now, more than ever, service is necessary to tackle the most pressing issues of our times, and Team Pioneer members are accepting the challenge. The President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) recognizes, celebrates and inspires our volunteers to lead the charge.

In 2017 Pioneer Bank implemented the Team Pioneer program. Non-profit organizations can reach out to the Bank to help out financially and/or with volunteers. Many team members are involved on several boards for community organizations. As a community-focused bank, we are committed to make a positive difference by engaging in meaningful and effective programs that work to improve the quality of life in our neighborhoods.

Hours are measured over a 12-month period and awards are designated based on cumulative hours. The awards are offered in multiple levels and are designed to recognize each milestone of your service achievement. Levels include bronze, silver, gold and the highest honor, the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award for those who contribute more than 4,000 hours of service in their lifetime.

We are proud to announce that Bridget Vejil, of El Paso has gone above and beyond in volunteering for her community. Bridget, a Centralized Processing Manager, volunteered 259 hours at the Center Against Sexual and Family Violence (CASFV) and earned the Silver Award. CASFV provides confidential assistance, educational programs and, most importantly, hope to families in need.

“Pioneer Bank supports our local communities through our people. We’ve always been a company where our team members get actively involved,” stated Christopher G. Palmer, Pioneer Bank President. “As a community-focused bank, we are committed to make a positive difference by engaging in meaningful and effective programs that work to improve the quality of life in our neighborhoods. We are very proud of our Team Pioneer program and the positive impact it makes in our communities.”

Along with the ultimate honor of presidential recognition, Bridget will receive a personalized certificate, an official pin, medallion or coin and a congratulatory letter from the President of the United States.
