This  photo towards includes President, Carlos Villalobos from Pointe Homes who received the Builder Member and made it a point to express his gratitude towards Pioneer Bank. Please join usf in congratulating Kathy.

The annual installation and awards dinner was held Friday, December 2 at the El Paso Marriott.  Announced at the event was Builder MEMBER of the Year; Associate MEMBER of the Year; and the first Chaney-Shallenberger Life Award winner.  Congratulations to our three well deserved recipients.

Builder MEMBER of the Year went to Carlos Villalobos in recognition of his dedicated service over the past three years on the ladder and his work as a member of the board before.  Carlos also transitions into the role of Immediate Past President on January 1 when the EPAB welcomes newly installed President Don Rassette.

Associate MEMBER of the Year went to Scott Whisenant and StrucSure Home Warranty for the dedicated service and support given the association.  Scott was presented his award by long distance as he is the Associates Vice President for the Greater San Antonio Builders Association (GSABA) who was having their installation event the same night.  A video presentation announced to the GSABA attendees that Scott and StrucSure were the winners in El Paso.  Congratulations to Scott and to Jerry Thompson, CEO of StrucSure, for their win and their tremendous support for the EPAB.

John Chaney and Sam Shallenberger, both great examples of association involvement, presented the first ever Chaney-Shallenberger Life Award to Kathy Carrillo of Pioneer Bank.  The choice was greeted with surprise by Kathy and complete support from all in attendance.  Kathy has been involved with the Association many years and is well deserving for this first time Life Achievement award.  Congratulations to Kathy Carrillo.

Now would you please reach out to these outstanding members and thank them for their service, congratulate them on their work here, and wish them continued success.

The event was also successful in getting toys for the 40 kids that will be the lucky ones chosen by the Junior Women’s Club of El Paso.  Everyone who brought a toy, thank you.  If you would like to contribute a toy please bring it by the EPAB office anytime this week.
