After thirty-eight years of distinguished service at Pioneer Bank, Executive Vice-President and Chief Lending Officer, Britt Donaldson, will retire effective March 31, 2016.

Donaldson began his career at Pioneer Bank in 1978 when we were known as Pioneer Savings & Trust.  His initial duties involved opening accounts, computer operator, collections, investor accounting and some teller functions.  After working in those areas for a short period of time, he became a supervisor in the Mortgage Servicing Department.  After several years he was responsible for originating single family mortgage loans in Roswell.  In the late 1980’s he moved into his current position as Chief Lending Officer.  Donaldson’s job involves supervising the branch operations of sixteen Pioneer Bank locations in Roswell, Hobbs, Carlsbad, Ruidoso, Alamogordo, Las Cruces and El Paso, TX.

“I will certainly miss all of the wonderful people at Pioneer Bank that I have had the pleasure of working with and getting to know over my career,” said Donaldson.  “Many of those people have been with the Bank almost as long as I have.”

Donaldson is well known for his community involvement over many years in Roswell, most recently as a member of Sertoma and the President of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Southeastern New Mexico. He is a member of Country Club Road Church of Christ.

“Britt’s contributions to Pioneer Bank are immeasurable,” says Jon E. Hitchcock, President and Chief Executive Officer.  “Britt has our highest respect for his dedication to Pioneer Bank.  He has been a valuable resource and has been so instrumental in helping our Bank grow and his presence will be dearly missed.”

Pioneer Bank invites the public to stop in at 3000 N. Main St. on Friday, March 25 from 12:00 – 4:00 p.m., at their leisure, to congratulate Donaldson on his retirement.

Pioneer Bank began in 1901 as Roswell Building and Loan Association.  It has grown to be one of the largest community banks in the region with eighteen branches, mortgage loan offices and ATM locations in New Mexico, Texas and Colorado.
